I was initially very excited when Purina products started launching in India. Fancy Feasts were a bit beyond my affordability, so when I laid my eyes on Felix, I grabbed a few packets excitedly, hoping that I finally had my hands on a decently priced healthy cat food brand. However, after reading the ingredients list, I felt major invisible punches to my stomach. Although the packet said "Salmon in jelly", the ingredients I came across were : chicken and poultry "products", lamb " products", fish "products", sugars. Sugars in a food meant for an obligate carnivore? WOW! So, despite their claims Purina Felix ends up being simply another pet food brand that uses leftovers of the human consumption grade fish and meat industry instead of real products.
I would've liked to see Taurine and Lysine in the minerals list, but was disappointed again. In the end, the only reasons Purina Felix is getting 3 stars from me is because my extremely picky cat went for it without needing to transition and has shown no signs of digestive ot gastrointestinal issues till now.
