Anyone who’s ever had a cat knows that mealtime can sometimes feel like a race against the clock! Mooli used to gobble down her food so quickly that it was like watching a vacuum cleaner in action. But over time, I noticed that eating too fast was giving her some tummy troubles. So, I decided to step in and change things up.

Here are a few tricks that worked for me:

  • Slow Feeder Bowls: I switched to a slow feeder bowl that has ridges and obstacles inside. It forces Mooli to take smaller bites and slows down her eating pace. It made a huge difference for her digestion!

  • Interactive Feeders: You can also try puzzle feeders or treat-dispensing toys. These engage your cat’s brain and prevent them from scarfing down their meal too quickly.

  • Smaller, Frequent Meals: Instead of giving Mooli one big meal, I started offering her smaller portions throughout the day. This helped her feel satisfied without the rapid rush.

If your pet eats too quickly, it might cause indigestion or even choking! Try some of these tips to help them slow down and enjoy their meals more calmly.
